Sourcing an Interim Manager
State Agency
The Challenge
This client organisation needed to find an interim solution to cover the incumbent General Manager of the South West region based in Cork, during a period of prolonged sick-leave.
Torc Response
Following a thorough briefing on the business, internal staffing and expertise required to successfully run the Cork operation we set about interrogating our panel of Interim Managers to find a solution.
We agreed overall terms of business with the client including duration of assignment, remuneration of candidate, scope of executive input, key features, relationships with stakeholders, etc.
We identified a selection of possible candidates from our panel and assessed them in the light of the assignment specification. One individual offered a very strong match.
Following discussions with this individual panellist, we made the necessary introductions & arrangements for formal interviews with the client and other stakeholders. These interviews went well & enabling contractual arrangements drawn up.
The Result
The appointment of the individual as an Interim Manager was made without delay and proved very successful. Within 12 months, this interim encumbent was appointed to the position on a permanent basis.
