Employee Career portal features (No.3)

by Paddy Collins on November 27th, 2014

The new employee career management portal has a vast suite of resources to help the user with every aspect of their career. This new version of the portal has been designed for use by employees within an organisation and can be a key enabler of personal development, career planning, internal mobility, employee communications and engagement.

This is the third in our series of articles describing the foundation blocks of the portal.

The third key feature is entirely about learning – about career management and career options, and self development through a major suite of e-learning resources.

The “Learn” module contains a series of distinct Learning Paths and each has its own distinct content:

Career management
Career options
Career skills
Challenges & change
New role
Internal job hunt
Business skills
Business education

The Career Learning Pathway is about exploring the options and discovering what it is you really want to do. It asks questions that enable you to develop the criteria you need to find the right career direction. There is advice on everything from an international move, further study or working from home to specialising, considering a management role or changing departments.

The e-learning hub contains easy-to-follow video tutorials, interactive e-learning courses, articles and research.

You can access advice on a range of relevant topics from a panel of career experts.

Finally candidates can keep track of their progress as they complete each section or course.
